🔎 Final Answer Key and Marking Scheme Updates
The final answer key was released on July 1, 2025, and came with significant updates:
- 27 questions were removed from across various subjects and sessions.
- Candidates will receive full 5 marks for each removed question, regardless of whether they attempted it or not.
- For questions where more than one option is correct, any of the right answers will fetch full marks to the candidate.
Earlier, the provisional answer key was released on June 17, and objections were accepted until June 20.

For multi-shift papers, NTA has ensured fairness by converting raw marks into NTA scores through a statistical normalisation method. These NTA scores will be used for admissions to various universities for the academic year 2025–26.

CUET UG 2025 has introduced several changes to streamline the process and broaden student access:
✅ Conducted Completely Online: Unlike previous editions, this year’s CUET UG was conducted entirely in online mode, enhancing transparency and accessibility.
✅ Subjects Offered Reduced: The number of available subjects has been reduced from 63 to 37 to simplify choices.
✅ New General Aptitude Test: A separate General Aptitude Test was introduced for candidates opting for subjects outside their Class 12 background.
✅ No Optional Questions: This year, no optional questions were provided. All questions were compulsory to attempt.
✅ Flexibility in Subject Choice: Students were allowed to choose any subject, even if it wasn’t studied in Class 12.
✅ Change in Subject Limit: Candidates could choose a maximum of five subjects, instead of six as in previous years.
