The final and decisive round of the Bihar Elections 2025 will take place tomorrow, November 11, as voters across the state step out to choose representatives for the remaining constituencies. With campaigning now silent and preparations in full swing, Bihar’s political spotlight shifts entirely to the polling booths.
122 Seats Will Vote in Phase 2
This second phase covers 122 of Bihar’s 243 assembly seats, spread across 20 districts. Among these are:
- 101 General seats
- 19 Scheduled Caste (SC) seats
- 2 Scheduled Tribe (ST) seats
With a strong turnout recorded in Phase 1, the Election Commission expects citizens to show similar enthusiasm in this crucial final round.
When and Where to Vote
Polling for all Phase 2 constituencies will be held from:
7:00 AM to 5:00 PM | November 11, 2025
Any voter standing in line till 5 PM will still be allowed to vote.
The counting of votes for all 243 seats will be done on November 14, shaping the political future of Bihar for the next five years.
1,302 Candidates in the Fray
The ballot battle features:
- 1,302 candidates
- 136 women candidates
The voter strength for Phase 2 stands at nearly 3.7 crore, including:
- 1.95 crore male voters
- 1.74 crore female voters
To manage the heavy footfall, the Election Commission has arranged 45,399+ polling stations, each equipped to reduce congestion and improve accessibility.
Security Tightened Across All Districts
Ensuring peaceful and fair polling is a top priority. Over 500 companies of Central Armed Police Forces including CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB have been stationed across the voting regions.
Additional measures include:
- Appointment of one observer per constituency
- Webcasting from every polling booth
- Mandatory deposit of smartphones outside booths
- Continuous surveillance for any irregularities
These steps aim to maintain transparency and prevent any malpractice.
Key Dates to Remember
- Voting Day: November 11, 2025
- Results: November 14, 2025
- Assembly Term Ends: November 22, 2025
The outcome will determine who leads Bihar into its next political chapter.
Identification Rules for Voters
Voters can verify identity using any of the 12 approved documents, including:
- Voter ID (EPIC)
- Aadhaar
- Passport
The Supreme Court has clarified that while Aadhaar can be used as ID, it cannot be used to prove citizenship.
Why This Phase Matters
The second phase carries significant weight, as it completes the electoral picture of Bihar. With high stakes, large voter participation, and tight security, this phase is expected to be closely watched and widely discussed.
As millions prepare to cast their vote tomorrow, Bihar stands at the threshold of deciding its next government.
