Hariyali Teej 2025: Date, Spiritual Significance, and Complete Puja Vidhi
Hariyali Teej 2025
Hariyali Teej 2025 is one of the most auspicious and vibrant festivals celebrated with immense devotion, especially by Hindu women across North India. Falling in the holy month of Sawan (Shravan), it marks the spiritual reunion of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, symbolising love, marital bliss, and fertility.
This year, Hariyali Teej will be celebrated on Sunday, July 27, 2025, which coincides with the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Sawan.
🌿 What is Hariyali Teej and Why is It Celebrated?
Hariyali Teej, also known as Shravan Teej, is dedicated to Goddess Parvati, who underwent intense penance to unite with Lord Shiva. Her devotion was so powerful that it moved Shiva to accept her as his consort. Hence, this festival not only commemorates their sacred union but also glorifies faith, patience, and devotion in love and marriage.
On this day, married women observe a nirjala vrat (fast without food and water) praying for the long life and prosperity of their husbands, while unmarried girls keep this fast to be blessed with a virtuous and loving life partner.
