Mohit Suri’s latest romantic action-drama Saiyaaraa, featuring debutants Ahan Panday and Aneeth Padda, has officially entered the elite club of top 25 highest-grossing Hindi films of all time. Despite a sharp drop in Monday collections, the film has managed to earn a whopping ₹256.75 crore in just 11 days, overtaking The Kashmir Files (₹252.25 crore) to claim the 25th spot in the list.

A Blockbuster Debut and a Stellar First Week

Released to an overwhelming response, Saiyaaraa stunned the industry with a blockbuster opening weekend, collecting ₹83.25 crore in its first three days. The film continued its golden run, bringing in a total of ₹172.75 crore by the end of Week 1.

Here’s a breakdown of the film’s 11-day box office journey:

  • Opening Weekend (Day 1-3): ₹83.25 crore
  • Week 1 Total (Day 1-7): ₹172.75 crore
  • Second Weekend (Day 8-10): ₹74.5 crore
  • Day 11 (Second Monday): ₹9.5 crore (early estimate)
  • Total Net Collection So Far: ₹256.75 crore

Massive Drop on Monday But Still in the Game

On its second Monday, Saiyaaraa recorded a significant drop of 68.3%, collecting just ₹9.5 crore compared to Sunday’s ₹30 crore. This marks the film’s lowest single-day figure so far, signaling a potential slowdown after its fiery first 10 days.

While Monday’s fall has slightly dimmed hopes of the film hitting the ₹300 crore mark easily, trade experts believe that with a few more strong weekdays, the film might still surprise everyone. The real test will begin this Friday with the release of two major competitors: the romantic drama Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri, and the comedy sequel Son of Sardaar 2 featuring Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur.

Second Biggest Hindi Hit of 2025

With ₹256.75 crore in the bank, Saiyaaraa is now the second biggest Hindi film of 2025, trailing only behind Chaava starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna, which earned ₹585.7 crore domestically and crossed ₹600 crore globally.

Moreover, Saiyaaraa is now the second highest-grossing romantic film in Hindi cinema, just behind the Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani-starrer Kabir Singh (₹278.80 crore).

Newcomers Shine, Director Back in Form

The film’s success is even more noteworthy considering it stars fresh faces Ahan Panday and Aneeth Padda in the lead. Their chemistry, coupled with Mohit Suri’s signature emotional storytelling and gripping direction, has struck a chord with audiences.

Saiyaaraa’s rise has defied expectations and surpassed several star-studded films of past years headlined by Bollywood biggies like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Prabhas.

What’s Next for Saiyaaraa?

While Monday’s drop is certainly a concern, the film’s solid second weekend (₹26.5 crore on Saturday and ₹30 crore on Sunday) shows there’s still strong audience interest. With three more days until the next wave of releases, Saiyaaraa has a window to push its lifetime collection closer to the ₹275–₹280 crore mark. Whether it can topple Kabir Singh and enter the ₹300 crore club remains to be seen.

One thing is certain—Saiyaaraa has proven that good content, fresh talent, and emotional storytelling still have a strong pull at the box office, even in a star-driven industry.
